Applications for Orange County’s Federal Credit Union Membership are generally open to anyone in the U.S. who meets at least one of the criteria sets below.

Membership is open to:

1) Immediate family of current Members, such as spouse, domestic partner, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchild and any such adopted relationship.  

2) Household members of current Members, such as roommates.

3) Employees and retirees of Select Employer Groups, such as the following:

  • County of Orange, Orange County, California
  • Cottage Clinical Associates, Santa Barbara, California
  • Cottage Clinical Network, Santa Barbara, California
  • Cottage Health, Santa Barbara, California
  • Cottage Medical Group, Santa Barbara, California
  • Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, Goleta, California
  • Pacific Diagnostics Laboratories, Santa Barbara, California
  • Santa Barbara Cottage Health Hospital, Santa Barbara, California
  • Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital, Solvang, California

4) American Consumer Council Membership (No cost or obligations)

What is the American Consumer Council?

The American Consumer Council (ACC) is a non-profit, tax-exempt membership organization founded in 1987 and dedicated to consumer advocacy, financial education, and recognizing those companies that exceed consumers’ expectations. ACC support America’s economic growth by encouraging the sale and use of safe, reliable products and services to consumers. ACC achieves its mission by serving the economic interests and consumer needs of its nearly 450,000 members and 54 state/regional/local consumer council affiliates. ACC is also proud to partner with non-for-profit credit unions across the nation to help our members join these outstanding financial institutions where they can invest and borrow from a safe, secure and reliable financial source.

Anyone who resides in 45 eligible states (including California) can apply for Orange County’s Federal Credit Union membership via ACC membership eligibility. Simply selecting “ACC Membership” as the member eligibility criteria, when applying via our digital application or in person in a branch is all that is needed to apply.  Those who become Orange County’s Federal Credit Union Members via ACC, simply acknowledge both becoming a member of the American Consumer Council (ACC) as the pre-requisite, and that their first name, last name, and email address will be provided to ACC.  There are NO additional member fees or obligations with ACC, for those becoming new Orange County’s Federal Credit Union and ACC members.

5) The Community Impact Fund Membership (No costs or obligations)

What is The Community Impact Fund?

The Community Impact Fund (CIF) is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit established in 2018 to help organizations maximize their community impact by helping to meet the financial needs of their employees, members, and community. 

Anyone in the United States can apply for Orange County’s Federal Credit Union membership via CIF membership eligibility. Simply selecting “CIF Membership” as the member eligibility criteria, when applying via our digital application or in person in a branch is all that is needed to apply. 

Those who become Orange County’s Federal Credit Union Members via (CIF) organization simply acknowledge both becoming a member of The Community Impact Fund (CIF) as the pre-requisite, and that their first name, last name, and email address will be provided to CIF, in order to receive a monthly newsletter which can be opted out of, if desired, at any time. 

There are NO additional member fees or obligations with CIF, for those becoming new Orange County’s Federal Credit Union and CIF members. CIF members, via Orange County’s Federal Credit Union, will simply receive monthly financial wellness newsletters and will again, have the ability to unsubscribe at any time. New CIF members will also receive a welcome letter outlining CIF member benefits and how to engage with CIF, if and when desired.
