SANTA ANA, Calif. – July 11, 2022 – The Board of Directors of Orange County’s Credit Union announced today the appointment of Lucy Ito as interim CEO, effective July 11, 2022. With over 30 years of experience, Ito most recently served as the president and CEO of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) before she retired from that position in December 2021. Ito is both an Orange County resident and longtime Member of Orange County’s Credit Union. Prior to NASCUS, she held leadership positions at the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues and the World Council of Credit Unions. Ito recently received the National Credit Union Foundation's Herb Wegner Memorial Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement, the highest and most prestigious honor that can be bestowed upon any leader in the credit union industry. SANTA ANA, Calif. – June 17, 2022 – The Board of Directors of Orange County’s Credit Union announced today that President and CEO Shruti Miyashiro has resigned from the Santa Ana-based not-for-profit financial services provider, effective July 21. Miyashiro will join Digital Federal Credit Union as President and CEO effective August 1. SANTA ANA, Calif. – Aug. 27, 2019 - Orange County's Credit Union, a Santa Ana-based financial services provider with more than 116,000 Members, raised over $44,000 to donate to CHOC Children’s Hospital at the 2019 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by the Disneyland® Resort. Over 200 Orange County Credit Union Members and Associates participated in this year’s CHOC Walk in the Park presented by the Disneyland® Resort on Aug. 11. SANTA ANA, Calif. – June 5, 2019 – Orange County’s Credit Union, a Santa Ana-based financial services provider with more than 112,000 Members, raised over $4,000 to donate to CHOC Children’s Hospital (CHOC) at their latest Shred and eWaste Day events in partnership with Williams Data Management and California Electronics Recycler. Over the course of two days, the Credit Union collected 24,470 pounds of paper and 10,020 pounds of electronics to safely recycle. Members of Orange County’s Credit Union had the option of attending the event at either the Orange County Employer Association location in Santa Ana or the Orange County’s Credit Union Santa Ana branch location off St. Andrew Place. Electronics accepted for collection included items such as computers, CD and DVD drives, LCD monitors, televisions, old cell phones, microwaves, monitors, keyboards, FAX machines, and more. SANTA ANA, Calif. – April 17, 2019 – Orange County’s Credit Union announced it was recently honored with the 2019 Peter Barron Stark Companies’ Award for Workplace Excellence, an award recognizing organizations that are committed to creating excellent company culture based upon employee feedback. Moreover, Peter Barron Stark Companies named the Credit Union one of the Best-of-the-Best organizations, a recognition given to those whose results exceed the Best-of-the-Best benchmark, which represents the top 25% of companies surveyed. Orange County’s Credit Union’s survey had an overall satisfaction score of 92.9, 7.8 percentage points above the Best-of-the-Best benchmark, and a 96 percent response rate from its 316 Associates.
