You've set your computer to "Private," but you're still being prompted to verify your identity with a verification code? This could happen if your browser is set to automatically clear cookies.
How to check if your browser is clearing cookies

*Safari by default does not automatically clear cookies when you close the browser. When you manually clear your Safari history which can includes cookies, you'll be prompted to confirm the verification code sent to you by e-mail or phone. After confirming the verification code, you can once again set the computer to "Private" so the verification code will not be required on next login.
After completing these steps, are you still being prompted for a one-time verification code?
