We're here to help you succeed

In the Community

The credit union philosophy of “people helping people” inspires Orange County’s Credit Union’s participation in a number of programs to help our local communities. We’re proud of our spirit of involvement and volunteerism and invite all interested members to join us as we support our communities

Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)
Each spring, Orange County’s Credit Union Associates fill, decorate, and deliver Easter baskets for patients at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). In addition, Orange County’s Credit Union Associates participate in the annual CHOC Walk in the Park with proceeds benefiting the Hospital.

Financial Education
Orange County’s Credit Union’s commitment to people extends to their financial lives and the importance of their financial wellbeing. Financial literacy workshops are presented on subjects of interest to teens, young adults who are just starting out, growing families, and those on the verge of retirement with the freedom to enjoy the rest of their lives. Cities, employers, school districts, and community groups have all benefited from our classes and the tools we share.

Orange County Human Relations Commission
The Orange County Human Relations Commission fosters an inclusive environment for everyone in Orange County. Orange County’s Credit Union actively supports the Commission’s goals and programs including serving on the Commission’s Board of Directors.

Santa Ana Zoo
Orange County’s Credit Union proudly sponsors the sea otter and Hawaiian monk seal, two of the featured animals on the Endangered-Species Carrousel at the Santa Ana Zoo. The Credit Union also underwrites the Endangered-Species trading cards given to Zoo visitors who ride the carrousel. The cards feature animals from around the world and help bring awareness to their plight, and educate visitors about the sustainability of our planet. The Credit Union serves on the Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo’s Board of Directors.

School Supplies Drive
On behalf of local schools, Orange County’s Credit Union Associates and Members donate important school supplies to help students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. When Members visit a branch of Orange County’s Credit Union during the month of August, they can drop off new school supplies in the donation bins located in each branch. Requested supplies include wide-ruled notebook paper, #2 pencils, crayons, colored pencils, markers, glue sticks, colored construction paper.

Second Harvest Food Bank
Orange County’s Credit Union annually hosts collection bins for Second Harvest Food Bank at our branch locations. Non-perishable food items are donated by Members and credit union Associates. Second Harvest distributes the food items to individuals and families in need throughout Orange County.

Working Wardrobes “Cinderellas For Life”
Orange County’s Credit Union Members and Associates graciously donated over 300 dresses, handbags, shoes, and accessories to Working Wardrobes “Cinderellas For Life”. Deserving young women participate in self-esteem and goal-setting workshops before selecting the perfect prom dress – complete with shoes, purse and jewelry.
